Sarge's Fund for Critical Care:
A Lifesaving Fund for Sarge and his Sanctuary Friends

**Sarge’s Critical Care Fund Needs Your Help**
Sarge, one of our incredibly rare twin geeps, has been under specialized care at CHUV for the past 10–12 weeks. After two intensive treatment sessions, we’re thrilled to share that he’s on the road to recovery and will soon be returning home to the Sanctuary with a new lease on life.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to Sarge’s care—your generosity gave him the chance to continue living a happy, healthy life among his friends.
But the fund now needs a boost to keep saving lives
The **Critical Care Fund**, which helped save Sarge’s life, also supports emergency and specialized medical treatments for the many other animals and birds in our care. Over the past months, it has quietly stepped in to cover critical treatment for others in our care—and now, it urgently needs *your* help. The fund is running low and must be replenished to ensure we can continue to respond when our residents need us most.
Please consider making a donation today. Every dollar helps us provide expert veterinary care and give animals like Sarge a fighting chance.
❤️ Thank you for standing with us—and ensuring that critical care will always be available for every resident animal whenever it is needed.

Our Story
"From city life to the heart of the sanctuary, our journey is one of transformation. We weren't born farmers, but when we opened our eyes to the world around us, we felt a deep calling to help the animals in need. They became a part of us, us a part of them - and together, we embarked on an extraordinary path of compassion & care."
In a tranquil corner of the countryside, Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary first took root as a result of a 2011 horse rescue. Karyn, Nancy, and Larry merged their efforts to officially establish the sanctuary in 2013 with a clear mission in mind: to provide a permanent, loving home for 14 rescued horses while championing the cause of animal welfare.
Our journey became intertwined with the Montreal SPCA, initially welcoming more horses from Montreal in response to a carriage industry ban. Though circumstances changed when the ban was lifted, we continued our collaboration with the SPCA, starting with the arrival of two goats, George and Ringo. In a remarkably short span of time, our sanctuary transformed into a haven for a diverse array of previously at-risk animals who are now free to just be, thanks to the unwavering dedication of our incredible team of volunteers and supporters.
Today, Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary's reach extends far and wide, fostering strong connections with both the Montreal SPCA and the Ottawa Humane Society. We remain steadfast in our commitment to offering refuge to at-risk animals, while focusing on education, advocacy & outreach for farmed animals everywhere. Our sanctuary's story has evolved into an inspiring narrative of compassion, touching the hearts of countless individuals to protect and cherish all living creatures.

Championing for a world where every animal - human or non-human - is free to just be.
Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary, located just east of Ottawa in Saint-Pascal-Baylon ON, Canada, was founded in 2013. Our mission is to inspire hope, where every life, two or four-legged, finds freedom to soar. In a world that frequently forsakes animals and birds, we become their advocate, giving life back to the voiceless, and a haven for the endangered, the overlooked and the forgotten. It is what inspires us to work tirelessly on behalf of all the animals and birds who have found a life-long refuge here at the sanctuary.
